Review of The Selection (The Selection Series, Book 1)

I just finished reading The Selection (The Selection Series, Book 1) by Kiera Cass – again.📚

This series is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. It’s not high-quality prose, but I still like it, and I think this is now the third or fourth time I read this book, which makes it onto the third place of the most reread books (this is an excellent topic to write about – need to take a note of it).

So as I did not have anything else to read right now I’ve started it again. And it still catches my interest. What fascinates me the most in this scenario is the “what if” play, and it is also a bit like a modern tale. Then add a sprinkle of urban dystopia into the mix, and you’ve caught me. And yes I ignore the part of this being a fantasy setup of “The Bachelor” - which I’m not interested in at all :-D. The main character has a brain and an option - which unfortunately she loses sometimes in the series, but it always comes back - puh.
