October 2022
Two of the four lasagnas created for dinner today. The one in the back is vegetarian.
At least Iโm a bit productive today โ I managed to file away the stack of payed bills. The oldest was from the beginning of the year.
Editing text with a headache does not work. I hope the headache will go way during the day so I can do what I planed to do today :-(
It’s this time of the year again. I am getting ready to cut the pumpkin ๐.

This is an image of the old reservoir (built 1914) which is now replaced by the new one. It was way too small for our modern needs and did not fulfil all the new safety standards.
They will start demolishing it soon โ now that the new one is finished and working.
Inside the second water chamber which is not yet cleaned. The room is around 6 meter high. And will be filled nearly to the top.
Together with six(?) other reservoirs in the city these have enough water for two whole days. And being on a hill also work without power.
The view though the view port into one of the two reservoir champers. This chamber is currently being filled with water. And right now around half full.
The pumps and pipes needed to fill up the new water reservoir. Today they had a day of open doors and the public was allowed to have a glance inside it. Before it will be filled up with water.
One of the sources of our drinking water. The image shows entries of the three springs delivering around 10% our our cities drinking water.
Thoughts on Hurricane (Hive Mind Book 3) by Janet Edwards
I just finished reading Hurricane (Hive Mind Book 3) by Janet Edwards.๐ And this series is a rare example of an author who has managed to get better with each new installment.

We were visiting friends yesterday evening, and I managed to convince their cat to sit on my lap.
It made my day having a cat sleep on me after so many years. So now it is back to observing cat photos.
Time for breakfast
Part of a wine glass is just blew.

I just noticed that I only have one scene to write left, and I have the first draft of my short story finished! The draft has grown a bit while writing; Iโm now at 21 scenes.
I just started reading understanding comics: the invisible art by Scott Mccloud.๐
Iโm back home after an amazing week of holidays. Now I have my usual view out of the office again when writing in the morning.

Early morning view over the Lago Maggiore from the hotel balcony at around 7:45 for A Day in the Life of Micro.blog.
The hotel is now wide awake, Oo. Nothing better than a helicopter delivering supplies in the early morning.
Thoughts on A Page in Your Diary
My thoughts on A Page in Your Diary: An ’80s Time Travel Adventure by Keith A Pearson. ๐
I found a nice reading nook today. It is so much better now without the rain :-)
My view for the next week.
We live in an amazing age. I’ve showed keynote to my daughter today. And she went of and created a presentation about the snow owl. Researching the content via the internet. The image shows a photo of the first slide with the title.
My daughter just discovered StreeView and is now taking a virtual stroll over the world :-D

The outline of a short story Iโm working on. It is the first time Iโve written a outline and actually started wiring the scenes. I have hopes that it will get finished. The outline allows me to write what I want within the scene but I still get a story which hopefully leads somewhere.
Today I wrote my eightieth morning-page. I still like the process, and I think it helps me write more. But I also notice that I tend to write less than the 750 words you typically write. Most days, I’m around 200 to 500 words. But it does not matter; I’m happy as long as I write something every day.
I played around a bit with stable diffusion. This was my best result so far. I was using the following term to generate it: โconsipratory meeting between a woman and man in a restaurant, Cinematic, Synthwave, Serene, Lonelyโ
Sun is hiding behind a tree in the forest.

It feels strange to sit back in my childhood room at my parent’s home and work on my laptop. I’m hoping for some new inspirations from having different surroundings.
