February 2023
I just used my Apple Watch to make a call. We sure are living in the future or in an alternate Nightrider universe :-D
My favourite blog author has written a book. I have not read it yet but it is waiting in my TBD list.
My Apple Logo pendant. Long ago, I used to wear that. These days are long gone.
Apparently, we can now buy Ramune in Switzerland. We used to import that directly from Japan when we were younger.
I don’t like it anymore, but I think I need to buy one for old times’ sake.
I’ve updated my calendar generator to support custom highlighted dates. You can change the background color and the text color of a cell.
A hatching dragon.
On the way to the swimming pool, I once again met this beauty.
I took a short break to pet the cat ;-)
Railwail bridge with evening sun behind it after a short rain.
This day is a strange day. A lot of meetings and an unexpected bug which looks to be a death lock in our DB code :-(
It is a strange feeling when you star at the code for two days and then revert a single change to fix a bug.
Its Monday
:-(
I’m not ready yet.
Believe text on yellow background. With two stick figures on it.
Tut is a lot nicer outside than I expected. There is the first touch of spring in the air.
How do you manage not to omit to review your journals? I want to check my journals weekly, but when it’s time for the review on Sunday evening after I’ve written the last entry for the week. I’m too tired to review or not in the mood at all.
Cool dessert: Sweet potato fries with stewed fruits and vanilla ice cream. Very tasty!
A work of art and it is just an empty book.

⤑ Making A Medieval Book By Hand - Part 1 - Folding Pages, Endpapers, Piercing & Sewing.
Here we go! (Experimenting with fonts. Next to the writing there is a rocket. And there are tiny stick figures sitting on the letters.)
Copy the base name of a file in Obsidian
Obsidian has a command to copy the relative path of a note (Copy file path) in the command palette. But I was in search of a way to only copy the base name, the file name without the extension.
Copy Link to Currently selected Message in Mail
Why we cannot have this feature built into the Apple Mail application, I don’t understand. But here is a simple AppleScript to copy the link to the currently selected email message into your clipboard:
Trying to explain what a soul is and what makes a person this specific person is hard. Especially as you don’t fully understand this stuff :-D But I love that she is asking such questions.
Dad problems :-)
I just started reading Less is More: How Degrowth Will Save the World by Jason Hickel.📚
A Trip down memory lane. A long time since I’ve last listened to him. But I still have the melodies of his songs in my mind.
Today was a tiring day. And the headache did not help at all. At least I’m feeling a bit better after some swimming.
Yesterday’s panel of the Exvulnerum comic is so good. The culmination of more than a year of storytelling. And I did not pick up on the hints at all, OO. This is an excellent example of story writing.
The page is here but it is a SPOILER.
I just finished reading understanding comics: the invisible art by Scott Mccloud.📚
A doodle by my daughter. I like the style she used. That was something she learned at school. (The image shows ground with different lines looking like waves, a tree to the left and a lighthouse to the right side of the image, And a whale in the middle).
A big rock which they took out of the ground at a local construction site.
It is so cool that they have a public hot fountain in Baden. I tried it out yesterday with some of my colleagues (no picture as it was dark, and there were other people as well).
I love when a community organizes such free and local attractions.
I just finished reading On Writing Well: An Informal Guide to Writing Nonfiction by William Zinsser.📚

@V_ this is just the kind of thing I was looking for. Thanks. I find it so so much easier to think and plan some things on paper. You rock.

@annahavron thanks for letting me know. It makes me happy when the tool is used – and not only by myself.
