June 2023

Puh, I’m nearly done with my Taxes for last year. Not sure why I always wait till the last possible day with it. In the end it is only 1 hour of my time to do.

I love receiving postcards. Do you love it as well? If yes, send me your address (to comment@vmac.ch), and I will send you one from my next holiday :-)

Ein Experiment, es nimmt mich wunder wer hier alles auf Deutsch am bloggen ist. Frage mich ob ich allen folge. Lasst doch einen Kommentar hier.

(An experiment, I’m curious who is blogging in German on Micro.blog. I curious weather I follow everybody.)

In the foreground my note book is open with a pen on it and some text writing (it is to small to read in the picture). In the background a small group have a wedding ceremony under a tree.

Yesterday I sat outside on a bench and was writing on paper. In the distance under the tree is a wedding ceremony.

Cake delivery to school done. We have just after 8 o clock in the morning here and it is already 20 degrees outside. And so humid due to the rain in the night.

My wife needs new glasses. So we were at the optometrist today where my mother works.

It was strange seeing my mother at work interacting with customers. I’m not used to seeing her in this role. And it is an entirely different side of here about which I don’t know much.

Searching appliances for our new kitchen. My taste is just too expensive. I need to start downgrading the the lower line of the devices :-(.

If anybody has recommendations for devices I’m open for suggestions. Need oven, dishwasher and fridge. Was looking at the Samsung line right now, but not entirely happy.

On the right side is a home built shelving unit with four drawers in it. The drawers are not yet full. Everything is pushed into outer most part of the room where the roof meets the floor. On the left of the unit are three boxes with our dvd collection.

The result of my cleanup project form yesterday. Used some old materials with were taking up space in my shop. And improved one of the chaotic corners in our flat.

Closeup of the sinkhole in the pavement.

We have a sinkhole in our street (it is around 20cm in diameter, and around 50cm deep).

On the right side is my homemade workbench, next to it is the bandsaw. At the far end is a shelf with a lot of stuff. The image is taken from the door. The floor in the middle of the room is empty and clean.

I’ve cleaned up my shop yesterday – it was desperately needed. I still need to change the organisation a bit, but at least it is less dusty now.

Is it still a morning page when you finish it at 14:00 clock? I was writing on it all morning next to doing my household chores OO.

On the right side is a shelf full of library books and in the distance there are some chairs and tables to study. The room is bright and airy not like a conventional library. The shelfs are made of metal and are plain looking.

Yesterday I was at the new library in our city. The new building looks so much better than the old one. I’m not yet sure it is a good thing that it does no longer smell like old books in there thought.

After nine years and six months, I had my last day at work today. Now it is time to relax a bit until I start at the new place.

Ok, there is one place I would love to wear VisonPro: On a plane. And then exchange the outside with a magic carpet ;-)

How will a world look where everyone will walk with VisonPros on their heads outside? When the product takes off, we will see vision heads. Will I ever be one? I’m conflicted. On one side, it would solve my screen size issues.

I would not have expected that Apple will ever release a computer you can directly mount on a rack oO.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the pre-WWDC podcast episodes and blog posts I still need to read.

I'm holding a small home-built book press in my hand. It is made out of wood and metal. With a signature clamped inside.

The next bookbinding experiment in the book press I’ve built this week.

Cleaning up my note inbox, and I’m still not done. So many notes in there. But I also found some nice gems again.

I think my Ajah would be either brown or white. But I tend more towards the brown.

Which would be yours?
