Risked going on a walk without jacked. Got rained out hard. But I’m not sure whether a rain jacket would have helped much. My pants are more wet than my top side.

 

Walking the cat 📝

We are in the forest, when my cat stops walking. “Come, Luna, you know the way,” I tell her. But no amount of asking can make her move. She looks at me and utters a quiet meow. She looks to the left of the forest path, hisses once, and turns around.

The Greenhouse 📝

“You want another cup of tea,” I ask my guest. “No thanks, I’m good – where did you find all these trees? I’ve never seen any of them!” She points to the group of firs next to the small patio area where we sit beneath plants nearly extinct in the wilderness. “A lot of luck and dedication,” I reply to her.

It is strange; outside, it’s not quite raining, and still a bit dark, and now and then a flash flashes and a thunder thunders. I like it.

My parents other cat. He lives outside for the full year. And I need to feed him outside as well. I’m cat-sitting today.

Tried to create a google account today and I just can’t get over the “I’m not a robot step. No matter which phone number I enter I get an error :-(. The error said I have used the phone number in too many accounts already.

 

📝 ”Tell me again, why must I wear these itchy clothes?" “It is tradition.” “I hate tradition. Actually, I hate the selection day. Why can’t I decide what I want to do for the rest of my life?” “Did you not pay attention to the preparation lessons?” “I did, but I don’t want to be selected by an algorithm. Amazingly, I made progress in my understanding of writing. But I would not have expected it to remove part of the joy of reading books. However, wiring this now was a naive hope. It is obvious that when you grow in your skill, your requirement for the text you read will get higher.

My first thought was to stop the book, but a better solution is to keep reading it, mark the examples I find, and use them to learn more for my writing.

I have a stack of (paper) documents (bill / letters and contracts) to put into a folder. So far we sorted them by type. But I wonder if the time investment is worth it. Or wether to just sort them by date in one big dump.

Does anybody have opinions?

A zoomed in picture of a fountain. Inside the fountain there is a picture of a squid filling the whole floor of the fountain. Some blue fish are drawn on top of it as well.

Another art installation I found in Frauenfeld. A fountain with a squid image inside of it. I would have loved some more time to walk around in the centre but was too tired for big walks.

First week of work at the new place is behind me – loved it. I’ve dreamt about my work from yesterday. I love the energy of something new. It was a long time since I dreamt about my work last.

I’m finishing my work computer setup for tomorrow – first day of work at the new place. And cleaning up my notes inbox. And some coding. Not yet sure what to do with my homepage it is getting big and I have issues with posting :-(
