September 2024
I cooked dinner last night and was especially happy with the result. Ebbly with vegetables and ground meat.

⤑ It Must Have Been Love - Roxette (‘60s “Wall of Sound” style cover) feat. Effie Passero.
Effie Passero is an amazing singer and I love this song (the original as well as this cover).
This probably contributed to some people commenting that it looks likes The Luggage from Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels. (But I promise this similarity is purely coincidental and that a Carpentopod table is far less dangerous.)
The luggage was the first thought upon seeing the table as well :-)
We had a an action rich morning today. I mixed up the dates for when the handyman comes to install something and it was today. And we needed to remove all our furniture in a hurry Oo.
It is nice to feel alive (a normal again) after three weeks of having no energy. Still not idea what it was that exhausted my so much (I suspect too much work).
Spacy relaxing on a chair.
I just finished reading The Writer’s Study Guide: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by Savannah Gilbo.📚
I joined my teammates at the conference booth yesterday. Wow, was this exhausting. It is cool that we had so much traffic but it takes a lot of energy talking so much. I’m glad I had the opportunity to see this part of our business as well.

⤑ DIY Expanding Table Redesigned - Can Your Table Do This?.
I love the look and function of this table. There is so much going on mechanically when it transforms.
Such a beautiful song and powerful delivery of it.

⤑ “Listen” from Broadway Backwards 2024 featuring Jordan Fisher and John McGinty.
What can we do for the discover timeline on Micro.blog? One of the biggest issues I had with it was that it was not updated on the weekends and not when I was awake. But now it is not updated at all. I wonder if a system with voting could work in timezone groups.
@V_ The state of Discovery is really sucking the life out of this place. It’s such a downer. I would rather just have a firehose or a random assortment of posts over the past 24 hours than what we have currently.

@DaveyCraney @V_ Honestly, these past couple weeks I made a choice to be a bit more deliberate in finding interesting blogs outside of micro.blog. Looking at BearBlog's Discovery page was a breath of fresh air! That is discovery done well. I regret limiting myself to the micro.blog community because it's an artificial limitation. My own mistake. Start with the link above and then just follow links. So rewarding.

@Denny Seconding your thought about Bear’s Discovery. Very well made.

@Denny it’s amazing we have several sports search tags and yet if you can’t find what’s going on NOW with those tags then what’s the point?

@Denny That is a really nice discovery page for sure. I’m absolutely going to trial bear and see how I get on with it.
