Loved it. A mix between Fallout, Ready Player One and Matrix.

I finally filled out last year’s tax returns form. But somehow I do not feel relieved.

Watched the first three episodes so far and quite like it. It did not go in the direction I expected.

The image shows five illustrated and photographic postcards arranged on a wooden surface. 1. Top left: A minimalist illustration with gold and black elements featuring a small red square with a silhouetted cat. 2. Top right: A vintage-style illustration of a white and a brown kitten looking at envelopes, with cursive writing below. 3. Bottom left: A photograph of a fluffy gray kitten with a curious expression, sitting on a soft white surface. 4. Bottom center: A surreal collage with a desert

Postcards I received last week. Love them all. I got four of them on a single day.

A bright yellow bench with gray metal frame is situated on a paved area surrounded by greenery. The backrest of the bench has the text "Wie geht’s dir?" printed on it, which is German for "How are you?". In the background, there are trimmed bushes and a building with large windows.

Just found this bench (I think it is new). The text reads “How are you?” In German. And I think it is the slogan of a past customer of mine.

Im not sure what I was thinking when I planned my dentist appointment for 7 in the morning. But I Survived it.

A workspace with a green wall featuring a computer monitor. On the left and right side are two white speakers. Various documents and artwork, including a painting of a rubber duck, are pinned on the wall above the monitor. A curtain is partially visible on the right side of the image.

Finally installed my speakers for the computer. Not yet 100% happy with the arrangement but it is better then it was before.

I like this post, and I would also like Apple as a company to do this things. But I also wonder if we should expect an entity of the capitalistic system to behave in such a way. Companies are not humans and they don’t behave like this they only need to fulfil the needs of their investors. Which usually is to increase the value of the company.

I’m conflicted about this but it does not feel right to expect a company to behave like an activist, with a moral standing. But then again where would should we as human put the levers?

In short, instead of meekly capitulating to pathetic bullies, this is a moment when Apple needed go on the attack. Instead of curling up in a defensive ball on the floor and crying while you hand out gold bricks to fascist predators, this is a time when a company full of smart and talented people should stand its ground.

🍿 Weekend Rebels (2023)

Mirco von Juterczenka's novel "Wir Wochenendrebellen" is the story of a father and his ten-year-old son, who is Asperger's autistic. The boy has set his mind on finally finding his favourite football club. But his selection criteria are very specific and besides, he wants to experience all the clubs (no matter in which league they play) live in the stadium.

A good movie, but it was hard to watch.

Does anybody have experience (or ideas) on how to best managed db seed and migration scripts in a mongoldb context? I would like to discuss solutions.
