Creative Chaos

Just read I’ve stopped managing my email, and it reminded me that I have a lot of strange habits around computers. I never seem to find other people doing it the same way. Next to not managing my email, I also love tabs in my browser. And there is seldom a time when I have less than ten tabs open. But this thought goes a lot further; I have creative chaos in my working spaces.

A dynamic list of persons with Espanso

I have a simple CRM tool inside of my digital brain. And when writing notes and mentioning persons I know, I want to link to them instead of writing these links by hand each time. I’ve made simple automation for Espanso. When I type the correct trigger, it will show a list of all persons found in the person’s subfolder from within my notes folder. It will also detract the first line containing the full name and an optional nickname to format the entry correctly.

A love letter to OmniGraffle

I am trying to remember when I first found you, but it was some time ago. What I remember is that it was love at first sight. I found a note from 2008 where your name is mentioned for the first time, but I also knew about you before then. The earliest graffle document I have on my computer dates from 2005. After all this time, you are still my number one go-to application when I need to create a drawing.
