Review of Born of Embers

I have forgotten to post the review for Born of Embers (The Valdir Chronicles Book 2) by RA Lewis.📚I was eagerly awaiting the release of this book as I quite liked the first issue of the series.

The second book directly connects to the end of the first issue. Kalina is now Queen of the Valdir - but she is not happy. I quite liked this part of the book; she is not ready for this role and does not fit it. She needs to learn how to be a queen, and the major part of the book is about this journey.

The book has one or two twists in the plot, which I did not see coming, but in the end, it will result in what you expect from the beginning. I did not enjoy the writing style in this issue quite as much. It felt like you have a distance to the main character – this was better in the first book.
