Review of The Last: A Post-Apocalyptic Pandemic Adventure

I just finished reading The Last: A Post-Apocalyptic Pandemic Adventure by Bruce W. Perry.📚

In 2026 a virus breaks out and Emma Blair as a pandemic research scientist for the WHO, is in its mids when it happens. It does not take long for New York City to be offer run by mindless hordes of zombies.

Please note that from here on out, the text can contain spoilers of the book.

It took a bit of time to get used to the writing style. But after taking this step, I’ve enjoyed the book. I especially liked that the author did not spend too much time on the actual carnage happening.

Unfortunately, due to the time jumps taken, we don’t get to know the full backstory of how Emma travels from the USA to Scotland, where the book’s story actually takes place.

I also liked how other people are not looks at as bad by default, and there is a feeling of togetherness between the different groups of survivors.
