Review of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Harry Potter 6)
I just finished listening Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Harry Potter 6) by J.K. Rowling.📚
Uncertainty and suspicion fill the wizarding world after He, who must not be named, is once again out in the open. Harry gets a visit from an injured Dumbeldore, and he does not disclose what has happened to his wand hand. The new school year starts with a lot of secrets already.
Opinion
Please note that from here on out, the text can contain spoilers of the book.
I very much like this book, especially as Dumbledore finally included Harry in the quest of destroying the actual bad guy instead of just fighting against the monster of the day.
Getting to know all the back story of Tom Riddle and how Dumbeldore managed to find out the secrets makes for an exciting extension to the book’s universe.
The growing hormones of the main characters are the major downturn for me in this issue. I understand they are getting older, but somehow it was constantly there. For me, this series is not some cheap YA series where you always need to have a love triangle to pad the story.
