Review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter 7)

I finished listening Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter 7) by J.K. Rowling.📚

The last book of the series. The time for subtlety is over. Harry, Ron, and Hermoine are on the last quest to prepare for the big fight.

Opinion

Please note that from here on out, the text can contain spoilers of the book.

I enjoyed this book very much – I think this is also because it’s only the third time I read/listen to this issue. So I’ve forgotten quite a lot of what is happening. Another factor is that we are finally out in the open. Harry does not keep getting so much pushback from his surroundings. He has grown a lot and is now clearly a leader in the fight. But not only Harry has evolved in the books. Neville Longbottom has also grown up and gained more than a bit of confidence, a development I really liked.

I’m a bit sad that the series is over. But there are still the movies to watch :-) And I certainly, at some point in time, will listen to the books again. And at some point, I can hopefully interest my daughter in these books, and we can read them together.
