Amazingly, I made progress in my understanding of writing. But I would not have expected it to remove part of the joy of reading books. However, wiring this now was a naive hope. It is obvious that when you grow in your skill, your requirement for the text you read will get higher.

My first thought was to stop the book, but a better solution is to keep reading it, mark the examples I find, and use them to learn more for my writing.
