Summer heat 2 📝

What’s left of the river flows slowly past me this morning – the day has scarcely started, and the sweat is already pouring down my back. It has been the new normal for some years.

I remember when I was younger, and the river flowed at full strength for the whole year. Now, it is only a shadow of itself. The fishers have long since given up on catching anything. I would love to eat freshly caught fish once more.

Alas, it’s only a memory now. Once again, I question myself: Why did we not change our behavior when we still had the chance? Perhaps I could still eat fish now – or at least would not sweat so much.
