Review The Curio Cabinet by Carol Beth Anderson πŸ“

I just finsihed reading The Curio Cabinet.πŸ“š I bought that book after reading the interview with the author in The indie author. I was interested in how you can write such short stories.

What was mostly an interest in the mechanics soon turned into love. The humor β€” dark and otherwise caught me and did not let me go anymore.

I find it amazing how the author can create such big worlds and feelings with such a small amount of words is amazing.

So if you are in search of a short book to read and think about I highly recommend it.

Photo of the book cover. The cover shows a case with 12 nooks containing different items. Some of the items are a small cammera, a sowing machine, a bunny.

An example of one of the short stories. The text reads 'Scrape. Smooth. Repeat. I run my rake along the dirt of the old graveyard. People assume I hate my job. But I love my team. Jake diggs. Marry burries, Hugh wrestles the undead back the surface each night, and I clean things up each morning. Scrape. Smooth. Repeat.'
