Eye Disco 📝
Every time I close my eyes I have a disco inside my eyeballs. Random flashes of colored light from every side.
Trying to relax or sleep is fruitless in this state. So I open my eyes and stare at the ceiling.

@rcrackley yep, had migraine this week – again. I wanted to write fiction but it got a bit more autobiographic.

@V_ I had an interesting shift about 18 years ago where I now get auras but I rarely have a migraine follow them. It definitely beats going through what I used to, but it's still weird and unsettling to have your vision get so messed up.

@rcrackley So you got the migraine after the aura? As I understood my doctor the aura is the migraine – but I'm still learning and researching. And I should not complain, my migraines are on the lighter side. And usually I don't have auras as well, only a throbbing eyeball, light sensitivity and brain-fog, no headaches. I'm still trying to find my triggers.

@V_ Yeah, as with a lot of people, I would get the aura for about 30-45 minutes, then the migraine (pain, nausea, sensitivity to light and noise, etc.) would come after that.

@rcrackley thanks a lot for the details – I need to keep an eye open for the next time. And I'm glad you don't get the follow-up symptoms anymore!

@V_ This sounds like a migraine aura.
