On subscriptions 📝

I read a blog post about subscriptions by Manuel Moreale (On subscriptions), and I wondered how my list would look.

Recreation:

• Netflix
• Apple TV+ (Test Subscription right now and not paying)
• Spotify (Family Account)
• Patreon (multiple Youtubers and Webcomic artists, limited to around 20 CHF per month)
• Kottke.org Membership

Memberships

• Alumni Club (The club of past students from my Alma Mata)
• Tenants Association (Club of pleople wo rent living space)
• Swimming Pool Entry (this is not a subscription as it does not renew automatically, but I think it should be counted as one)

Others:

• Dropbox
• iCloud+ (used for Photos & Phone Backups)
• Domains (way too many / do these count?)
• Mobile Phone
• Internet

That is the complete list. I have some past subscriptions as well (Audible / Prime TV / HelloFresh). And there may be some in the future. I’m considering a 1Password Family Subscription to upgrade to the newer version.

I’m surprised that the list is so short. There would be potential to cull it some more. Especially with the Domains (I have 14 of them, and actually in use are 3.5) - oh dear. So far, I managed to circumvent any software subscriptions.
