Temporary Lake 📝

The weather is good, and I walk along a temporary lake. “What has happened in your life?” I ask my companion. We haven’t seen us for a fortnight, so there are thoughts to share. They reply with a story about their lives.

The storm has fallen trees and flooded the fields. The sun is low on the horizontal and mirrors the treelike in the water. Off to the side, we hear the quacking of some ducks.

It is incredible how life starts using such a body of water – no matter that it is only temporary.

We walk further, enjoying nature.
