A close-up of the control panel of a relay computer. The panel is on a pedestal and the top part shows the output of the computer via multiple lamps with numbers on it. The bottom part contains multiple buttons for the input (also with numbers on it). On the right side there is also a rotary switch to choose the program to execute. In the front below the input buttons is the power button for the computer. Followed by two plaques reading Hommage Konrad Zuse (homage for Konrad Zuse) the text is partially hidden by the input panel on top. The second plaque reads Rechner (newline) R 500 / 7 T which is the name of the project.

The control panel of the “R 500 / 7 T” computer at the Enter Enter Technikwelt Solothurn museum. It is a relay based rebuild of a Konrad Zuse computer. I love the sound of the machine when it is calculating. And the best of all, you were allowed to operate it!
