⤑ Wake County Employs SROs in 80 Schools; Some Parents and Civil Rights Advocates Say Their Presence Harms and Criminalizes Students (via KimberlyHirsh (on Micro.blog)).
This system feels so wrong and alien to me. But I think it is not only the issue of having police directly on campus (with guns) but also that you don’t have enough money in the first place for the school system overall and then try to fix it with this somehow. It makes me sad.
