A side-by-side before-and-after of the Carta map app, labelled v1 and v2 with a green arrow pointing from left to right. On the left, v1 shows the United Kingdom as a plain outline with a few rivers, scattered red city dots and an orange halo, sitting in a narrow column beside a checkbox list of layers. On the right, v2 shows the same country in far more detail: the map fills the frame with labelled cities, coastlines and neighbouring countries, an orange route runs from Inverness down through Edinburgh and Manchester to London with its final leg dashed, and two circular magnifier panels enlarge Loch Ness and London. A floating toolbar spans the bottom, and a phone-sized view of the same map is inset at the right edge, showing the narrower mobile layout with its two-row footer.

Finished v2 of Carta, it fixes the biggest issue of the first version: Showing multiple countries at the same time. And it works now also on phones (not as well as on desktop).
