I use this page as a sort of journal of the books I’ve read and what I thought about them. So most of my long-form writing here are “reviews” of books and series. But I also like to write just for the joy of writing. I’ve done some experiments with fiction writing. One of them starts like this:
The fog has lifted; Hans looks over the rolling hills. On the horizon, he sees the mountains – his ultimate journey’s goal – but today, he won’t reach them perhaps tomorrow. He shoulders his pack and starts walking down the crest. It is morning, and he awoke half an hour ago with an ugly headache. But today, he will finally reach his destination.
